About the Role
Join our Managed Services team and gain hands-on experience in enterprise applications, IT infrastructure, and customer support. This internship is ideal for candidates who are passionate about technology, eager to learn, and interested in building a career in systems engineering and IT services.
At WIA Systems, you will work alongside experienced professionals, support global customers, and develop practical skills in system administration, application support, troubleshooting, and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- System and Application Maintenance:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance activities on systems and applications to ensure availability, stability, and performance.
- Monitor and support enterprise applications, servers, and related infrastructure components
- Assist with deployments, upgrades, patching activities, and system health checks.
- Customer Support:
- Respond to customer support tickets in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate documentation for incidents, issues, and completed tasks.
- Problem-Solving:
- Utilize good analytical and problem-solving skills to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to systems and applications.
- Collaboration:
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team, contributing to the overall success of the IT Services department.
- Learning and Development:
- Demonstrate a curiosity to learn and apply knowledge in both Application and Systems Support.
- Organizational Skills:
- Ensure assigned tasks are completed within defined timelines and service levels.
- Escalate complex issues to senior engineers when necessary and follow through until resolution..
Preferred Qualifications
- Undergraduate or final-year student in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and also as part of a team.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools.
- Effective communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to work with customers and global teams.
- Passion for learning new technologies and adapting to changing environments.
- Proficiency in Linux, and/or Kubernetes, and/or cloud platforms is an added advantage.
- Previous exposure to system administration, networking, databases, or scripting is an added advantage.
- Required Work Authorization: Must be based in the USA (US Citizen/ Green Card Holder).
